Our first official match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 71: BEST IN BATTLE III OPENING ROUND is a ROUND 1 MATCH featuring FAMOUS B and CARLO CANNON!
FAMOUS B is coming off a tumultuous start to the year, after defending his BCW Heavyweight Championship against Sam Yannis, he lost the Championship unexpectedly to Blue Demon Jr and initiated his rematch the following night as part of triple threat match after having already wrestled twice earlier that same night. A consultation was perhaps winning the Lucha Libre Trios Tournament partnering with Gabriel Wolfe and Levi Nixon however redemption is on the mind of the main who made the second letter of the alphabet ‘FAMOUS’.
Conversely CARLO CANNON has been searching for his place in the Battle Kingdom in recent months, falling short in the Battle Jumble and the Battle Royal while impressively going toe-to-toe alongside the Bastard Brothers against La Real Familia. A one-time BCW Tag Team Champion with Ken Shamrock, CANNON will be looking to take advantage of this opportunity and matches up well against his Round 1 foe.
FAMOUS B is a BEST IN BATTLE alumni having made it to the finals back in 2024 defeating Adam Brooks and Mitch Waterman before falling to Mick Moretti. While CARLO CANNON features for the first time after competing in the BEST IN BATTLE Reserve Match in 2024. Some may say CANNON’s inclusion is peculiar, however his work outside the Battle Kingdom is being recognised, such is now that this opportunity exists.
On Friday 24 July 2026 will who will advance to the BEST IN BATTLE III SEMI FINALS – the disgruntled FAMOUS B OR the surging CARLO CANNON?
