Our second official match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 71: BEST IN BATTLE III OPENING ROUND is a ROUND 1 MATCH which will also be for the BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP featuring DIOS DEL INFRAMUNDO (c) against 2025 BEST IN BATTLE II CHAMPION, BARRY LUCKY ‘LEARY!
DIOS DEL INFRAMUNDO returned to the Battle Kingdom last month as part of the LUCHA DOWNUNDER TOUR where he defeated O’LEARY for the BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP at BCW 69 and thereafter defended his title one night later against AERO STAR at BCW 70. THE GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD now seeks to be considered the BEST IN BATTLE and faces the defending champion in LUCKY O’LEARY.
BARRY LUCKY O’LEARY lost his BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP against DIOS DEL INFRAMUNDO in circumstances where POGO THE CLOWN appeared at ringside for the entire match before causing an interference that led to INFRAMUNDO taking the advantage. This rematch as a result has all the elements – it’s for the BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP and the winner advances to the BEST IN BATTLE III SEMI FINALS!
Last year BARRY LUCKY O’LEARY elevated himself when defeating Robbie Thorpe, Tome Filip and Mick Moretti to be crowned the BEST IN BATTLE II CHAMPION. DIOS DEL INFRAMUNDO was not on the radar for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING, as he had been gone since 2019 – however, the stars have now aligned, and with one match between these two combatants already – this one is guaranteed to be a barnburner!
The BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP will be defended however it is important to note the ten-minute time limit applies. If there is no victor at the expiration of the ten-minute time limit, then the Champion will retain his title, but the match will continue until there is a winner, as one combatant needs to advance to the SEMI FINALS unless in the case of a double disqualification or double count out.
On Friday 24 July 2026 will who will advance to the BEST IN BATTLE III SEMI FINALS – DIOS DEL INFRAMUNDO with title intact OR 2025 BEST IN BATTLE II CHAMPION – BARRY LUCKY O’LEARY?
