Our second official match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 73 is a RETIREMENT MATCH featuring THE DAREWOLF PJ BLACK against THE MAN WHO FORGOT TO GO HOME FAMOUS B – there can only be one winner, and the loser will RETIRE and never wrestle again!
FAMOUS B’s career started at the SANTINO BROS ACADEMY in California where he became proficient in not only catch-as-catch can wrestling but Lucha Libre wrestling. FAMOUS B eventually landed in Lucha Underground before becoming a product of the Battle Kingdom. Since BCW 53 FAMOUS B has amassed a resume that is not be denied including the BCW Heavyweight Championship, BCW Battle Express Championship, BCW Best in Battle 3 Champion, BCW Lucha Libre Trios Tournament Winner, BCW Battle Jumble Winner and 2024 BCW Match of the Year Winner. After winning BEST IN BATTLE 3 FAMOUS B informed the Battle Kingdom, he had enough and mentioned that he would not be losing again, which prompted PJ BLACK to appear on screen to set up this challenge.
PJ BLACK’s career started in South Africa as the son of the Pink Panther, where he first wrestled on 5 March 1997 as a 16-year-old. Thereafter his travels took him to WWE NXT and ultimately as part of the WWE main roster before featuring in TNA and Global Force Wrestling and thereafter in Lucha Underground. PJ BLACK has wrestled in the Battle Kingdom as part of the LUCHA DOWNUNDERGROUND TOURS back in 2018 and 2019 where he won the AZTEC BATTLE. It was then three years before he returned to win the 2022 Battle Rumble and thereafter challenge for the BCW Heavyweight Championship. One year later PJ BLACK returned again alongside FAMOUS B for BCW 53, however PJ BLACK then went home.
The challenge has been set, and these two combatants will do BATTLE for the first and last time in a RETIREMENT MATCH, the winner will continue their career, and the loser will retire for good. The word RETIREMENT will keep its meaning there is nothing to hide as one of these men will never wrestle again!
On Friday 30 October 2026 who will continue their career and who will retire for good – FAMOUS B or PJ BLACK?
