Our first official match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 73 is the BCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH as BLUE DEMON JR (c) returns to defend his Gold against JOHNATHAN PRESTON!
BLUE DEMON JR defeated Famous B at BCW 69 for the BCW Heavyweight Championship, but not without a distraction from JOHNATHAN PRESTON. The following night at BCW 70 in what was supposed to be BLUE DEMON JR (c) VS JOHNATHAN PRESTON, who was cashing in his opportunity after winning the 2025 Battle Rumble, turned into a triple threat match as Famous B demanded his immediate rematch. The third man, Famous B was not as elusive as Harry Lime, nonetheless he spoiled the party for THE AUSTRALIAN PSCYCHOPATH.
BLUE DEMON JR has since been parading around the BCW Heavyweight Championship in Mexico, while at BCW 71 and BCW 72 JOHNATHAN PRESTON took out his frustrations respectively against Syd Parker and Anth Cava while wearing a BLUE DEMON JR mask.
The rematch is now on, and BLUE DEMON JR will be going mano-e-mano against PRESTON. No excuses, only action. PRESTON claims he has a destiny not appreciated in this reality while BLUE DEMON JR is the son of one of the greatest Luchadores of all time and the greatest nemesis of El Santo – BLUE DEMON – and he does not accept defeat – ever!
On Friday 30 October 2026 the night before Halloween will BLUE DEMON JR continue his reign as Champion OR will JOHNATHAN PRESTON finally hold the gold he yearns to wear around his waist in this reality he calls life?
