Our next match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 50 features one-time BCW Heavyweight Champion SLEX and perennial contender ROBBIE EAGLES!
In 2022 THE BUSINESS entered the Battle Kingdom as the BCW Heavyweight Champion, losing his strap in the middle of the year to Mick Moretti before being side tracked with fellow ROH alumni PJ Black. Thereafter SLEX earnt another shot by winning a six-man scramble match. Finally, at BCW 49 the BUSINESS received his rematch and went 30 minutes in an iron man match with The Rapscallion, only to fall short and now enter the Battle Kingdom in 2023 without the BCW Heavyweight Championship.
On the flipside the SNIPER OF THE SKIES only featured in one match in 2022, also against familiar foe Mick Moretti, almost taking the spot of The Rapscallion to challenge for the BCW Heavyweight Championship. Prior to this match ROBBIE EAGLES took on three men in one night at BCW 42 firstly and secondly facing Mitch Waterman in back-to-back time limit draws for the BCW Battle Express Championship before replacing an injured Slex in the main event to challenge Nick Bury for the BCW Heavyweight Championship. Victory alluded the speedster due to Slex’s interference.
On Friday 24 February 2023, will SLEX start the year back in the winners’ column or will ROBBIE EAGLES finally enter the winners’ column for the first time in BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING history?
