Our first official match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 54 is the KENTA KOBASHI hosted BCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT between Champion, THE RAPSCALLION MICK MORETTI and the Challenger, THE WORLD BEATER DAMIAN SLATER!
At BCW 34 on 25 October 2019, DAMIAN SLATER took on MICK MORETTI in a Special Challenge Match, where the better man that night was the now Champion. Fast forward to BCW 53 and MORETTI defeated Maddog in a Hardcore Match to defend his crown, before challenging “anyone” from anywhere. Enter THE WORLD BEATER who accepted that challenge and the opportunity to erase his previous defeat.
SLATER is a native of Perth, Australia and though he has wrestled BCW Alumni, namely Tajiri in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic many years ago, he has only ever wrestled in the Battle Kingdom once – against THE RAPSCALLION!
The opportunity that presented itself at BCW 53 was one SLATER has been waiting for, as he has yearned to return to the Battle Kingdom in a triumphant manner.
History also awaits THE RAPSCALLION, as a victory here will allow him to inch one step closer to becoming the longest reigning BCW Heavyweight Champion since the inception of BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING.
