On Friday 24 July 2026 BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 71: BEST IN BATTLE 3 OPENING ROUND took place producing the following results:
1 – Opening: All eight combatants entered the ring along with BUSHWHACKER LUKE as the host.
A quick interview with BUSHWHACKER LUKE and he declared his excitement for the action to come.
2 – Best In Battle 3 Reserve Match: Gabriel Wolfe Vs El Negativo
The winner of this became the official Best In Battle 3 Reserve. Wolfe and Negativo had a technical bout and Negativo’s efforts were valiant, until Wolfe locked in and wrenched on an unforgivable ankle lock until his foe had nothing more to give.

3 – Best In Battle 3 Round 1 Match: Famous B Vs Carlo Cannon
Famous B jump started the match by attacking Carlo Cannon in his entrance with a steel rod before the bell. Once the bell rang, Cannon was on one leg. Competitive to the end, Cannon was too hurt to get the job done and eventually succumbed to Famous B’s half Boston Crab.

4 – 2 on 1 Handicap Match: Jamie Tagataese Vs Jordie Sparkles & The Artist formerly known as Lockie
Tagataese pointed at Sparkles to start this match. Sparkles was spooked and hightailed it out of the ring and out of the arena squealing like a banshee up the highway. Lockie left to fend for himself, did not last long as The Big Man hoisted him up for the War Hammer and the pinfall win.

5 – BCW Tag Team Championship Open Challenge: The Bastard Brothers (Krackerjak & Gore) (c) Vs Ryan Rapid & Christian Clutch
Rapid and Clutch answered the challenge to the surprise of The Bastard Brothers. Nonetheless, the match was competitive with Rapid flying around as he wore the crimson mask, and Clutch taking staple shots and chest chops like a seasoned vet. Business eventually picked up and after a Britney Spear and Dominator, the Bastard Brothers scored the pinfall victory to retain their titles.

6 – Best In Battle 3 Round 1 Match: Sam Yannis Vs The Brian Kendrick
Yannis and Kendrick felt each other out in a match that became a technical wrestling masterclass. Kendrick has seen it all, however on this occasion he did not see the running knee by The Sexy Greek Boy, who scored the upset victory.

7 – Best In Battle 3 Round 1 Match & BCW Battle Express Championship Match: Dios Del Inframundo (c) Vs Barry Lucky O’Leary
Inframundo and O’Leary picked up where they left off two shows ago. Fast and furious action until Pogo The Clown appeared, caused the distraction allowing Dios Del Inframundo to gain the pinfall win.
Winner: … and advancing to the Best In Battle 3 Semi Finals and STILL BCW Battle Express Champion… Dios Del Inframundo via pinfall
8 – Johnathan Preston Vs The Jurassic Punk Syd Parker
Preston brought an orange sack to the ring which he placed in the corner with an overprotective eye. The Jurassic Punk was focused to gain his first victory since returning to the Battle Kingdom one year ago. It was a quick and nasty affair, which resulted in a devastating boot by Johnathan followed by Blue Demon Jr’s submission for win. Johnathan revealed Blue Demon Jr’s mask in the orange sack which he placed over his own head signaling that he wanted his return bout with the Champion.

9 – Bushwhacker Luke, Maddog & Sean Preston Vs DCT, Anth Cava and Breakfast
Bushwhacker Luke returned ringside to talk with the Battle Kingdom about his thoughts on Best In Battle 3 before determining that he had itchy feet. Enter DCT who has not been seen in the Battle Kingdom for in or about seven years, flanked by Anth Cava and Breakfast. DCT poking Luke one too many times caused Maddog and Sean Preston to run in and even the sides. A Six Man Tag Team Match was made and it was on. Each team having their moments with Luke demonstrating why he was a tag team specialist for more than 60 years. A victory for Bushwhacker Luke, Maddog and Sean Preston prevailed but not without Anth Cava receiving a stink face from Bushwhacker Luke.

10 – Best In Battle 3 Round 1 Match: Mick Moretti Vs Levi Nixon
The official main event saw the best to ever do it from Australia to a man who yearns to be the best even if it causes him to become more and more unhinged. Moretti and Nixon mirrored each other as they each looked for the advantage. The expectation was that Moretti would be too much for Nixon however when it was all said and done, Nixon packaged up Moretti with the pin and the unexpected win.

After the match Famous B, Sam Yannis and Dios Del Inframundo entered the ring to face off with Nixon, showcasing what was to come at BCW 72: Best In Battle 3 Finals.
