Our next match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 71: BEST IN BATTLE III OPENING ROUND is a one-on-one match between JOHNATHAN PRESTON and SYD PARKER!
Not part of the tournament, JOHNATHAN PRESTON has requested the toughest opponents on the roster to punish himself, as he seething over the missed opportunity to wrestle away the BCW Heavyweight Championship from Blue Demon Jr. At BCW 69 PRESTON carefully interfered in Famous B’s title defence against Blue Demon Jr to make life easier for himself the following night. At BCW 70 it was not to be as Famous B invoked his rematch clause and added himself to the main event. After featuring in two matches earlier in the night, Famous B was ‘anything but fresh’ and Blue Demon Jr took advantage as he managed to shift the action away from JOHNATHAN and isolate B to score the win.
PRESTON is ropable, especially after dominating 14 other combatants in what he referred to as a warm-up Battle Royal at BCW 69. PRESTON wants to punish himself, make himself realise there is no easy way, only pain and more pain.
In the opposite corner will be the second-ever BCW Heavyweight Champion, THE JURASSIC PUNK SYD PARKER who looks to stand up to the AUSTRALIAN PSYCHO, who was last seen as a part of the Battle Royal.
Since returning to the Battle Kingdom one year ago, PARKER has tried to find his niche as he looks for the glory he once had when ruling eight years ago!
On Friday 24 July 2026 will JOHNATHAN PRESTON reset and conquer as he eyes a rematch with Blue Demon Jr OR will SYD PARKER catapult himself quicker than watching Prince Iaukea win the TV Title from Lord Steven Regal many moons ago?
