Rematches are often overdone and in the history of combative battle there have been many which have drawn eyes glued to the spectacle.
In Professional Wrestling there was Hulk Hogan Vs Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania VI and not until eight years later was there a rematch at Halloween Havoc 1998!
In Boxing there was Cassius Clay Vs Sonny Liston for the World Heavyweight Championship in 1964 and no earlier than fifteen months to the day was there a rematch for the same Championship but this time it was Muhammad Ali Vs Sonny Liston!
In Kickboxing there was Iron Mike Zambidis Vs Gurkan Ozkan at No Respect 2 and one year and two days later there was a rematch in the A1 World Combat Cup Final!
In Mixed Martial Arts there was Ken Shamrock Vs Dan Severn for the inaugural UFC Superfight Championship at UFC 6 in 1995 and less than one year later there was a rematch at UFC 9 in 1996!
At BCW 61 JORDIE SPARKLES broke the hoodoo of his Open Challenge and defeated THIS GUY and at BCW 62 there will be the rematch – but the result is not yet known – however for one combatant it is certain to mean elevation while for the other it is certain to mean misery!
