Our penultimate match announcement for BATTLE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING 68 is a BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH as BARRY LUCKY O’LEARY defends his title against THE JURASSIC PUNK SYD PARKER and the returning MITCH WATERMAN!
LUCKY is coming off the biggest year of his career, as the incumbent Best In Battle 2 Champion, having defeating Robbie Thorpe, Tome Filip and Mick Moretti over two nights, before capturing the BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP by defeating Sam Yannis and then defending the same against Carlo Cannon. However, there has been someone watching O’LEARY, and that someone goes by the name of POGO THE CLOWN. He appeared out of nowhere, stared down LUCKY and disappeared just as quickly at BCW 67. Will he be back?
THE JURASSIC PUNK re-enters the fray for title competition after a tag team mishmash alongside JJ Furno did not end the way he would have liked. Now with another golden opportunity, the only man to face Rob Van Dam three times in the Battle Kingdom will be looking to make BCW Management wake up to his talents once again as he journeys towards a run as the King of the Sprints. For those of you who cannot remember – SYD PARKER held the BCW Heavyweight Championship for 223 days and was ‘THE’ man in the Battle Kingdom for a long time.
MITCH WATERMAN, no relation to Ron – the only Waterman to ever be signed by WWF and also fight in the UFC, returns for the first time in twelve months to recapture the title that led him to becoming the 2021 BCW Wrestler of the Year and one-half of the 2024 BCW Match of the Year. It is worth noting WATERMAN held this strap for an unprecedented 846 days.
This match will have a ten-minute time limit and is guaranteed to be full throttle from the opening bell!
