YANNIS earnt his shot at the title by winning a scramble match at BCW 63 that included O’LEARY and went on to BCW 65 to win the BCW BATTLE EXPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP by defeating his tag team partner in Levi Nixon. All of this when the night prior at BCW 64 The Sexy Greek Boys imploded and lost their rematch for the BCW Tag Team Champions against The Super Grouse Bogans. The blood is boiling between YANNIS and Nixon, however the newly crowned Champion now needs to focus on the hottest commodity in professional wrestling in LUCKY.
LUCKY O’LEARY has gone from bit player to outright superstar as he defeated his teammate Robbie Thorpe in the first round of the BEST IN BATTLE 2 Tournament at BCW 64, followed by double duty at BCW 65. LUCKY overcame the early attack from Tome Filip to win his Semi-final contest, and thereafter on the same night stood opposite his biggest challenge in the BEST IN BATTLE 2 Final, namely the longest reigning BCW Heavyweight Champion in history Mick Moretti. It was a match for the ages as LUCKY pulled out the win to become the BEST IN BATTLE 2 CHAMPION!
SAM YANNIS will look to consolidate his victory as he defends his ‘King of the Sprints’ title, while LUCKY will look to collect more Gold as he rides the wave of success that has made him the second ever BEST IN BATTLE CHAMPION!
